I have posted two songs from “Bambai ka Babu” in this blog, and readers will agree that both of them were great songs. But as far as Binaca geetmala of 1960 was concerned, the most popular song from this movie was yet another song viz ” Chal ri sajni ab kya soche”.

Kishore Kumar was an upcoming singer in 1950s whom S D Burman had taken him under his wing. S D Burman, who was the regular music director of Dev Anand’s home production ( Navketan) gave Kishore Kumar the opportunity to sing for Dev Anand. And Kishore Kumar grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
