What do you do when your labour of love grows up before your eyes. Exactly what you do with your child. You want the best for him/ her.
This blog of mine (Atul Song a day at wordpress.com ) grew up to contain over 2000 songs in just over one year and I wondered what was going to happen if one day this labour of love, hosted on a free site, was to go up in smoke. I am sure neither I nor my readers would have like that to happen, as the blog has become an integral part of many readers. So taking no chances, I have decided to add an insurance and to have the songs in a self hosted blog, in addition to the free wordpress blog.

And while I am at it, I may as well take advantage of the flexibility that a self hosted site affords. I hope to add many features in this site in addition to the blog that were not possible earlier, thanks to the limitations imposed on a free blog.

As of now, I am not very clear on specifics, but here are some details about what I would like to have in this site:

1. All songs will have their translations in English.

2. All songs will have their audio links as well.

3. With time, I will add details about movies, singers, lyricists, music directors , actors etc whose songs are being featured in this site.

4. I would like to add many more features as they occur to me and as suggested by my readers.

As of now, I am gradually adding all the songs that have already been added to the blog. In addition, I am providing some additional features that were not possible on the free blog.

So far I have not advertised this blog, still It feels nice to notice that a few stray visitors are still managing to find their way to this blog.
